Students:
Alessia Beninato (IIIA)
Giorgia Russo (IIC)
Carmen Zappalà (IIC)

Hello! We are Alessia Beninato (Class IIIA), Giorgia Russo and Carmen Zappalà (Class IIC) the three students of the Istituto Comprensivo San Giovanni Bosco of Catania who have joined the first mobility in Turkey- Istanbul, thanks to the Erasmus plus Project KA229- “Open doors to creative generations”.
We would like to tell you something about our experience in this school and in this city: Istanbul. It was a different reality, but everything was fantastic. The school was new and modern and the two families that hosted us were very kind and welcomed us very warmly and friendly.  Our first day was very nice, the families welcomed us very well making us find our room ready. We spent the first evening, talking about the project and the program that we would have to face during the week

For us, the ERASMUS project is a means to enrich our culture, to deepen our studies ... changing, very often the workbench.

Here we are at school, the first day, when we meet the new friends at the school Kosmos which was very near to the house where we lived.

This is the school Kozmos Yalizim Anadolu Lisesi of Istanbul

On Sunday, the hosting families took us around for  a tour of Istanbul. They made us visit the most significant places in the city.
As Galata Tower, Boğaziçi köprüsü..e many other wonderful places which impressed our memories.

During the week spent at school, we created an Erasmus Eco song with the contribution of of the students of the school and of the delegations from Bulgaria and Romania. We sang together, we met professors and students of a different school reality. Then they gave us some lessons of CHESS and we had a lot of fun.

On our  trip to Istanbul we met many good, respectful, kind and loving people..
In the family where we were hosted we found ourselves very well, the houses were large and with many Turkish features, such as the carpets covering the whole floor.

The school where stayed was very large and beautiful, the things that have impressed us the most are:the game rooms (for example chess, video games, etc. ..) the canteen, all the gyms, the library, the singing room and much more. We concluded our the last day in Istanbul with a fantastic party and we slept altogether the last night.

The return to Catania was very traumatic, because we said goodbye to special people, with the awareness that we would not have seen them, and  this was the worst moment of this fantastic experience.
A big thank you to our Headmistress Prof.ssa Valeria Pappalardo and to the the Coordinator of our Erasmus Projects Lucia Rigano for this unforgettable experience that we have had the chance to live together in a foreign country.
